States of duress

Places and times where we cannot survive

We freeze

We silence ourselves

Bending, suffocating, crying, dying 

Think of a flower

Not the one you have in a vase on your table

Think of a flower 

In the desert

In the wind

In the ice

In the drought

Think of a tree

Surviving hundreds of years

No food, no water, no cares, no sun

Still standing up 

Fighting

Resisting

To create beauty

To write poetry 

This project is another step in my research for emptiness that sees three other works: Ghost Towns, The Fog, The Desert.
